Babalila Chocolates: Tash

It’s a newish business with a strong family heritage – Babalila Chocolates. Situated by Bago Vineyards’ distinctive maze, Tash the chocolate maker brings her graphic design past, her mother and grandmother’s chocolate recipes and tools, and the future of her daughter into the kitchen to decadently celebrate her family lines. Distinct from a chocolatier, as a chocolate maker Tash makes the fondant but not the chocolate, using it to create and imagine recipes of past, future and present. Russian flavours sit side by side with Australian infusions on the shelf,  presenting a multicultural celebration it’s impossible to walk past without tasting. Again and again. Not one, not two, but all the flavours.
