It’s a dream embraced by many – move out of the big smoke to a quiet rural block and devote your days to growing produce or making products to bring you enough income to get by.

Welcome to the world of The Artisan Farmer.

This is a multi-faceted gastronomical and visual project which draws from the increasing number of market stall holders and their stories popping up across the mid north coast of NSW. It is the result of local Wagyu beef farmer Peter Doyle’s 20-year dream, and includes an artisan food outlet facing the mountains, backing on to the Pacific Highway at Nabiac. Complementing the food is a collection of stories on film, to get those taste buds watering. With so much inspiration to work with, it’s an ongoing project, so please – follow the journey with us through our blog page or on facebook

Opening the cyber doors to The Artisan Farmer, we will be posting the first series of films up on this website in December, in anticipation of opening the doors of The Artisan Farmer on the Pacific Highway by summer, late 2018. Think of it as an ongoing introduction, if you like.

I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I am enjoying cycling it!

Cheers, Rebecca
